Amanda Leah Brown (born June 4) is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, and actress from New York City. She was a contestant on the third season of NBC’s The Voice and finished in fifth place. She is currently a backing vocalist for Adele on her Adele Live 2016 tour, alongside Martine Celisca and Katie Holmes-Smith.
Prior to Brown appearing on The Voice, she served as a backing vocalist for several major artists, including Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Rowland, and Stevie Wonder. In 2012, she provided backing vocals for Adele during her performance at the Grammy Awards, where she sang "Rolling in the Deep." Upon her appearing on The Voice, three of her singles charted on Billboard charts, one of which was a cover of Adele's "Someone Like You."
