“Easy On Me” is a music video for Adele's song of the same name, taken from her fourth studio album, 30. The video was released with the song on October 15, 2021. A 21-second clip of the video premiered on October 5, 2021 via Adele’s social media channels.[1]
Directed by Xavier Dolan, the clip picks up where the music video for “Hello” — also directed by Dolan — left off, culminating in Adele’s departure from the house in which the first video takes place. Adele returned to Quebec, Canada to film the video. Filming took place on September 15 and 16, 2021, and reportedly involved more than 100 technicians.[2]
“I was honestly hoping for this to happen,” Dolan said of collaborating with Adele again. “For me, there’s nothing stronger than artists reconnecting after years apart. I’ve changed. Adele’s changed. And this is an opportunity to celebrate how we’ve both evolved, and how we’ve also both remained faithful to our dearest themes. It’s all the same, but different.”[3]
In addition to the “Hello” video, the music video for “Easy On Me” also references the music videos for “Chasing Pavements” and “Rolling in the Deep.”[4]
