Richard “Rich” Paul is an American sports agent based in Cleveland, Ohio. He founded Klutch Sports Group, which represents a number of prominent NBA players, such as LeBron James, as well as NFL players in more recent years.
He is currently dating British singer-songwriter Adele.
Relationship with Adele[]
Paul and Adele began dating in early 2021, following Adele’s separation from ex-husband Simon Konecki and just before her father, Mark Evans, died from bowel cancer.[1] The two had met a few years prior, having had mutual friends for a long period of time.[2]
They made their first public appearance as a couple during Game 5 of the NBA Finals in Phoenix, Arizona on July 17, 2021.[3] In September of that year, Adele published a photo of the couple from basketball player Anthony Davis’ wedding on her Instagram account, seemingly confirming their relationship.[4] Adele officially confirmed that she and Paul were dating in her interviews with the American and British publications of Vogue in October 2021, noting that they were “very happy” together.[1][2]
The beginnings of Adele’s relationship with Paul reportedly served as inspiration for “Easy On Me,” the lead single to her upcoming fourth studio album, 30.
