"Set Fire to the Rain" is the official music video for Adele's song of the same name. Due to Adele undergoing vocal surgery, she was unable to film an official music video for the song (being that the release of the song took place during her recovery from the surgery). Instead, a live performance of the song from her 90-minute DVD/CD concert film, Live at the Royal Albert Hall, was released.[1] The music video, which originally was not intended to be the official video for the song, was uploaded to YouTube on November 16, 2011.

Adele's performance in this video earned her a Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. This was Adele's ninth Grammy win.

Release[]

The release of the video created confusion as to whether or not it was the actual music video for the song or not.[2] However, according to VH1, it is the official music video and was released because Adele could not film a video, as she was recovering from vocal surgery at the time of its release.[3]
