Thomas Montgomery Newman (born October 20, 1955) is an American composer best known for his many film scores.
Newman composed the score for the film Skyfall, which features Adele’s song of the same name. While the soundtrack itself does not include “Skyfall,” Newman used Adele’s song for parts of the score. The song is particularly noticeable in “Komodo Dragon,” which contains an instrumental interpolation of “Skyfall.” Adele, Paul Epworth, and J. A. C. Redford, who co-wrote “Skyfall,” are uncredited co-writers on the track.
