Okay, Daydreamers... This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. I have huge news.
Adele’s long-awaited third studio album is being released November 20.
This marks the first new music from Adele in almost five years — her last full-length release was 2011’s 21. Hits Daily Double confirmed the exciting news this morning, further reporting that the album’s lead single will be released in the first or second week of November, right around the time that “Rolling in the Deep” was released five years ago.
In addition to this, they also confirmed that Adele had secured a deal with NBC in order to promote the album:
“ | The British superstar has inked a lockout deal with NBC for four big TV looks, including The Today Show, SNL, a prime-time special and one more appearance TBA (possibly Fallon). The exclusive deal will not, however, prevent Adele from appearing on the 2016 Grammys. | ” |
And if that's not exciting enough, Adele will also be appearing on the cover of a magazine ahead of the album release. Photographer Matt Castle confirmed that a new magazine cover with some “official news” would be released very soon today via Twitter — this was later retweeted by FuseTV’s senior web producer Mark Sundstrom. Adele’s last magazine cover shoot was in 2012 for Vogue.
Until Adele’s new album is released, fans should be excited for the release of “Alive,” a last-minute cut from Adele’s album that will be released tomorrow as the lead single from Sia’s upcoming seventh studio album, This Is Acting. The song was written by Adele and Sia and supposedly details events in Adele’s life. Sia has uploaded a 15-second teaser of the track onto YouTube until tomorrow, when the song is released in its entirety:
